Canvas Edging

When producing your prints on canvas, unlike a traditional paper print the depth of the frame becomes part of how you view and experience the final image. There are three different finishes that we offer, all at no additional cost, and the right choice will depend on where you are hanging the final print as well as fitting in with any existing canvas images you may already own.

Due to the differing widths and heights (aspect ratios) of canvas over paper, we will always get in touch with you whenever you place a canvas oirder to ensure you're 100% happy with the crop of your image before the work is started, and you will be able to finalise your choice of edging at this stage.

Wrap

This is the most natural way to finish your canvas, and simply put, means that the edge of your images are printed around the sides as a normal continuation of the print. This means your subject should not be close to any edge, and that due to the folding some of the corner may be difficult to see.

White

A bold statement and helpful when you need to see every part of your image on the main face of the canvas, this leaves the edges as unprinted plain canvas.

Mirror

If you'd like something on the edge of the canvas but your image goes too close to the edge for a wrap, then the sides can be printed as a mirror of the very edge of the picture. This sounds odd but it very effective in making the sides feel natural whilst not compromising on the image shown on the main face.
